| Deb & Dave, Just wanted to give you an update on Rembrandt...he is doing great and still growing. He now measures out at a little under 14.2 hands! He is by far the biggest 10-month old I have ever seen, and my vet concurred. He is officially a gelding now...I hoped to wait a full year, but decided to geld him after he jumped a 4+ foot gate to get to the ladies! Good news is he wasn't hurt and I now know he can jump the moon. |
| I know I am biased, but I have to say Rembrandt is by far the best horse I have ever worked with. He is loving, curious, brave, easy going, beautiful, willing, trusting and fun. I look forward to our adventures together and wish I could have 10 more of him!!!! I would definitely recommend cross-breeding to Ice for those people looking for a truly remarkable Sport Horse. | *Here's a quote from one of our mare owner customers: "Making Friesian Dreams come true... Our Ice Man Friesian Dream is on the way! I called Deb at Friesian Harts of Texas on Monday, Feb. 28th to let her know my mare was ready to breed. She immediately dropped everything, hooked up her trailer, loaded Ice Man, and transported him to the vet for collection. Dr. Garza at Southwest HIlls Veterinary Hospital collected him Tuesday morning, put the shipment on the first flight to D/FW airport and we were able to inseminate my mare Tuesday evening, again on Wednesday, and the last time on Thursday. My vet examined the semen prior to insemination and said it was the best shipment she had ever received!!! Two weeks later, I took my mare in for her 2 week exam and found she was pregnant! We were all tickled pink and pleasantly surprised. Especially since she is a 15 year old maiden mare and we expected several attempts before we succeeded! In fact, this was the first time I had ever tried to breed my mare! Needless to say, we are very impressed with Friesian Harts of Texas, Ice Man, and Southwest Hills Veterinary Hospital.
